I've been trying to find a good gui for dosbox to add a little flair and convenience to playing and even recording dos games and stuff. I might end up just using a VM though but these suggestions are still very useful! I might just play around with one of the old dos-based windows versions

Do you have working floppy disk now a day? If yes, you are very lucky person. I personally will not use this OS, because it will destroy my floppy disk easy, I keep my MS-DOS boot disk with WordStar for a lucky items to keep for a long time, I am the very lucky person that I have this lucky items.

Very nice showdown, but other than the title also the year of release and some minimum requirement would have helped to evaluate propery the interfaces! (some of them would run on 8088 with 256k, some other needed 32bit cpu eg 386 minimum, and evrything in the middle)...
